Rose Foundation Nepal is an initiative in memory Rose Shrestha, who passed away to cancer in 2006.
Our Founder President Shikshya Rose Shrestha (daughter of Rose) is also a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 at the age of 29.
Rose Foundation Nepal is a commitment to help people in Nepal by educating them about cancer and the importance of early detection.
To fulfil this aim Rose Foundation Nepal was established in 2014 by a group passionate about the cause. It aims to raise awareness about cancer and encourage people to take regular medical examinations (in particular Breast Self-Examination) which would help in early detection and increase the survival rate. It is also focused on collecting data for Nepal regarding cancer which will be useful for research studies.
