Pink Day Celebration
Generating awareness about breast cancer and the importance of breast self-examinations at workplaces and colleges in Nepal
Rose Foundation Nepal has been organising Pink Day events at various corporate organisations and colleges in Nepal. The concept of Pink Day is that we encourage students at colleges and employees at corporate to wear pink for a day to encourage conversation around Breast Cancer amongst people in the society.
The event also includes a presentation by our partner doctors on breast cancer and training on “Breast Self Examination”. In the past four years, we have organised Pink Day at over 20 different organisation, reaching over 10,000 people directly.
We believe the first step towards our fight against breast cancer is encourage the conversation about the disease in our community and remove the stigma attached to it.
